Refund Policy

Design, pattern engineering and sampling are made-to-order services. This policy sets out when fees can be refunded, when revisions apply instead, and how to raise a claim.

Placeholder notice: items shown as [Jurisdiction] must be replaced with the governing territory before this document is published.

1. Scope

This policy covers all fees invoiced by CoutureCut Studio for trend research, silhouette design, colorway development, fabric sourcing, pattern engineering and sample creation. It operates alongside our Terms of Service and any statutory rights you hold in [Jurisdiction].

2. Deposits

The commencement deposit reserves studio and sample-room capacity. It is fully refundable if you cancel in writing before work begins. Once trend research, sketching or pattern work has started, the deposit is applied against work completed and any remainder is refunded.

3. Cancellation during a project

If you cancel mid-project, we invoice for hours delivered and for non-cancellable commitments already placed — fabric orders, lab dips, trims and courier charges. Any balance held is refunded within 14 days of the closing invoice.

4. Revisions come first

Where a deliverable does not match the approved brief, our first remedy is revision, not refund. Each quoted style includes two revision rounds at sketch stage and two fit-sample rounds. Report the issue within ten working days of delivery with photographs or fit comments and we will correct it at no charge.

5. When a refund is issued

  • We cannot deliver a contracted deliverable at all.
  • A pattern or sample departs materially from the approved specification and cannot be corrected within an agreed timeframe.
  • The studio cancels the engagement for reasons other than your breach or non-payment.
  • You were invoiced in error or twice for the same item.

Refunds are limited to the fee paid for the affected style or work stage.

6. What is not refundable

  • Work already approved in writing by you.
  • Changes of direction, cancelled seasons or commercial decisions on your side.
  • Fabric, lab dips, trims, courier and mill charges already incurred.
  • Factory outcomes: bulk production variance, retail performance or third-party delays.
  • Delays caused by late approvals or incomplete measurement data.

7. Physical samples

Samples are made to your specification and are not returnable for a refund. If a sample is lost or damaged in transit, notify us within five working days and we will pursue the courier claim and re-cut the sample at cost.

8. How to request a refund

Email enquiry@codexis.store with the project reference, invoice number, the styles affected and a short description of the issue with supporting images. We acknowledge within two working days and give a decision within ten working days.

9. Payment of approved refunds

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 days of the decision. Bank or currency conversion charges applied by your provider are outside our control.

10. Disputes and statutory rights

If you disagree with a decision, reply to the same thread and it will be reviewed by a studio director. This policy does not affect any non-excludable consumer or commercial rights you have under the law of [Jurisdiction], and disputes are governed by the courts of [Jurisdiction].
