About

A design studio built around the sample room

CoutureCut Studio was formed by pattern cutters and trend researchers who were tired of beautiful concepts that could not be cut, costed or shipped. We keep sketching, engineering and sewing under one roof so a silhouette can be drawn on Monday and worn on a fit model by Friday.

Who we work with

Our work lives in the collections of fast-fashion retailers moving four to twelve drops a year, independent designer studios preparing a wholesale range, and performance apparel brands where seam placement and fabric stretch decide whether a garment is worn twice or two hundred times.

Engagements run from a single capsule of eight styles to a full seasonal range with graded patterns and salesman samples for a sales conference.

How we think

  • Direction before decoration

Every concept starts from a merchandising problem, not a mood board.

  • Patterns that survive the factory

Graded blocks, tolerance tables and tech packs written for the machinists who use them.

  • Considered materials

Mill shortlists include composition, minimums and certification so sustainability claims hold up.

  • One room, one team

Designers, pattern cutters and sample machinists work side by side, so revisions take days, not weeks.
